What You Will Need:
Any store bought or homemade glass cleaning solution. To make your own cleaning solution simply mix Coarse Sea Salt and 99% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol).
Cleaning The Glycerin Coil:
Step 1 - Place the coil into a large zip lock bag.
Step 2 - Pour in cleaning solution and submerge the coil.
Step 3 - GENTLY shake and tilt the bag so solution runs through the coil.
Step 4 - Repeat this until the inside of the coil looks clean. For heavier cleans you can let soak for 10 - 15 mins.
Step 5 - Rinse thoroughly with room temperature water and let dry before using/ placing in the freezer.
Cleaning The Base:
Step 1 - Empty the old water from base.
Step 2 - Pour in solution and fill the base about a quarter of the way up.
Step 3 - Cover any open ends.
Step 4 - GENTLY shake the base to spread around the solution and repeat this until cleared. For heavier cleans you can let soak for 10 mins.
Step 5 - Rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry before usage.
Putting The Clips On:
The big side of clip goes towards the base, the small side faces the glycerin chamber.
Water Fill Levels:
Fill right up to the outtake arms, so the water stops in the middle of the outtake arms' opening. You can always do a test run before lighting. If no bubbles, add water, if you feel too much drag remove water.
1-hour is all you need. Freeze just the glycerin chamber. Do NOT freeze the base.
You can leave the chamber in the freezer indefinitely
All the Big (34mm) Coils: Spiral Coil, Revolver Coil, XL Spiral, XL Revolver, XL Straight coil
Only the coil should be frozen as water could expand in the base causing it to crack.
The best way to put the clip on is to support the back of the glass with your hand and push the clip into place.
Big side of the clip faces down.
NO! The best method is to use either our solution or salt and alcohol solution to clean your piece. Hot water can cause damage to the glass and potentially cause breakage.
