Everything You Need To Know About Your Freeze Pipe Hookah Bong
Cleaning
Cleaning is easy and done just like a traditional piece. We also sell cleaning caps, plugs and solution that work great on all Freeze Pipe pieces!
What You Will Need:
Any store bought or homemade glass cleaning solution. To make your own cleaning solution simply mix Coarse Sea Salt and 99% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol).
Cleaning the Coils and Hose Adapters:
Step 1 - Remove the coils and hose adapters from the Hookah Bong. Place them into a large ziplock bag or plug both ends.
Step 2 - Pour enough cleaning solution into the bag to submerge the parts.
Step 3 - Gently shake and tilt the bag so the solution flows through the coils and adapters, loosening any residue.
Step 4 - Repeat this until the inside of coils/adapters look clean. For deeper cleans you can let soak for 10 - 15 mins.
Step 5 - Rinse thoroughly with room temperature water and let fully dry before using/ placing in the freezer.
Cleaning the Base/Water Tanks:
Step 1 - Empty any old water from the Hookah Bong base.
Step 2 - Pour in solution and fill the base about a quarter of the way up.
Step 3 - Cover any open ends. Plugs work great for this, holding paper towels over openings also works.
Step 4 - GENTLY shake the base to spread around the solution and repeat this until cleared. For heavier cleans you can let soak for 10 - 15mins.
Step 5 - Rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry before usage.
Cleaning the Rubber Hose:
Step 1 - Detach the hose from the Hookah Bong and rinse it with warm water to remove any loose residue.
Step 2 - Pour the cleaning solution into the hose or use a pipe cleaner or soft brush to gently scrub the interior. Tilt the hose back and forth to ensure the solution runs through the entire length.
Step 3 - Rinse thoroughly with warm water until all soap residue is gone.
Step 4 - Hang the hose vertically or lay it flat in a well-ventilated area to air dry before reattaching.
Cleaning the Downstem:
Step 1 - Remove the downstem from the base and rinse it with warm water to remove surface debris.
Step 2 - Submerge the downstem in a glass cleaning solution (store-bought or homemade using coarse sea salt and 99% isopropyl alcohol).
Step 3 - Gently shake the solution inside the downstem, or use a small brush or pipe cleaner to scrub the interior.
Step 4 - For heavier buildup, let the downstem soak in the solution for 10–15 minutes.
Step 5 - Rinse thoroughly with warm water to remove all residue, and allow it to air dry completely before reattaching.
Assembly
Attaching the Downstem and Clips 📎
Insert the downstem into the base, ensuring it fits snugly. Secure it with a clip, placing the larger side of the clip toward the base and the smaller side toward the glycerin coil. This keeps the downstem firmly in place during use.
Place the glycerin coil on top of the downstem, aligning it properly. Ensure all connections are secure for stability.
Connecting the Hose 🧪
Connect one end of the hose to the base using the base-to-hose adapter. Make sure it is tightly attached to prevent air leaks. Attach the other end of the hose to the glycerin coil using the hose-to-coil adapter. Double-check all connections to ensure they are airtight.
Inserting the Valve 🔌
Insert the valve into the empty hose joint on the base. Push it in securely to prevent any unintended air leakage. Ensure the valve is properly aligned for smooth airflow.
Pro Tips for Assembly 👷♂️
Ensure all parts are tightly fitted and aligned to avoid leaks or instability. Always test the airflow and water levels before use. For an enhanced experience, freeze the glycerin coil for at least one hour before attaching it to the setup.
FAQs
How Long Do I Freeze The Glycerin Chamber For?
1-hour is all you need. But you can leave the chamber in the freezer in between sessions.
What Coils Fit On The Hookah Bong?
The Hookah Base uses an 18mm attachment and fits only our 18mm Freezable Middle Coil while the Hookah Hose attachment fits the Bubbler Coils including the Revolver and Spiral.
Should I Freeze The Whole Unit?
NO! Only the coils should be frozen as water could expand in the base causing it to crack.
What's The Safest Way To Put The Clip On?
The best way to put the clip on is to support the back of the joint with your hand and push the clip into place.
Can I clean it with hot water?
NO! The best method is to use either our solution or salt and alcohol solution to clean your piece. Hot water can cause damage to the glass and potentially cause breakage.
